Obituary

Marshall E. Hatfield, 77, of Frankfort, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 4, 2021 in Adena Regional Medical Center, Chillicothe. He was born on Monday, August 2, 1943, in Pike County, the son of the late Hezzy and Audrey Jackson Hatfield.

He is survived by five sisters, Inez (Howard) Lewis of Dayton, Sheila Hatfield Moore of Frankfort, Pam Wingo of Chillicothe, Shirley Hatfield of Toledo, Sharon Perkins of Chillicothe, one brother, Paul Hatfield of Toledo, several cousins, nieces, nephews, and special friends, Frank Harris and Retha Simmons Jones. He was preceded in death by one brother, Wallace Hatfield and one sister, Patsy Nelson.

Until his health began to fail, Marshall was a faithful member of Zion Baptist Church, Chillicothe. He was always ready to lend a helping hand to everyone because he enjoyed working and keeping busy. Marshall took great pride in his planting and maintaining flowers in front of his apartment. He also thought he was a “master mechanic,” and would tinker with every automobile he got, only to make the problem worse!
