Joe loved sports. He was a huge fan of basketball and loved Lebron James. For many years, Joe competed in local trap shooting competitions at Mid-State Gun Club in Frankfort. Joe enjoyed watching cattle shows and making the annual trip to the North American Livestock Exposition in Louisville with family. Joe was known for his kind and gentle nature with a warm embrace and a firm handshake. He never met a stranger and loved meeting and talking to new people. He had an infectious smile and demeanor. He loved spending time with his family, friends, and loved ones. Joey always had enough time for a good conversation over a strong cup of coffee. When his father passed in 2004, he was deemed “Mr. Frankfort”, and in this case the apple does not fall far from the tree. Joe Allen will be missed tremendously by all.
