William Lester Cornwell

William Lester Cornwell 92 formerly of Upper Twin South Salem went to be with the Lord 3:50 am Friday, November 29, 2019 at Adena Greenfield Medical Center. He was born January 2, 1927 in Gallipolis, Ohio the son of the late Henry and Evelyn Stewart Cornwell. On April 23, 1946 he married the former Rosemary Eubanks who passed from this life November 3, 2007.

He is survived by his children, Billy Cornwell, Jr. and Marilyn Daniels; 17 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents William was preceded in death by four children, Evelyn, Thomas, Hazel and Pauline; sisters, Shirley and Mary and a brother, Lester.

William was an Army Veteran and he retired from landscaping.

Graveside services will be 3 pm Sunday, December 1, 2019 in the Bainbridge Cemetery, with Pastor Mike Anderson officiating. No calling hours will be observed. The Smith-Moore-Ebright Funeral Home of Bainbridge is serving the family.
