Wayne E. Wilburn

Wayne E. Wilburn, 77, of Frankfort died at 2:40 p.m. Thursday April 7, 2011 at his home. He was born on April 20, 1933 in Greene County, the son of the late Millard and Ollie Jones Wilburn. On Jan. 15, 1952 he married the former Ellenor Anderson who survives.



Also surviving are his children; Bobbie (Myron) Garrison and Roger (Pam) Wilburn all of Clarksburg, Mike (Debbie) Wilburn of Frankfort, Jarrod (Brenda) Wilburn of Chillicothe, six grandchildren; Richard Garrison, Michelle DeWitt, Eric Wilburn, Emily Grooms, Amy Wilburn, Erin Ratzlaff, Heath Detty; thirteen great grandchildren, one sister: Kay Stockman of Chillicothe, one brother: Robert Wilburn of Forsythe, MO. He was preceded in death by one son; Jay Patrick Wilburn.



Wayne had worked for the B&O Railroad and the City of Chillicothe at the Waste Water Plant. He was a 1951 graduate of Clarksburg High School. Since 1964,Wayne was a volunteer with the Deerfield Twp Fire Department where he had served as the chief for 25 years. He had also served on the Emergency Squad for Deerfield Township. Wayne was a member of Dry Run United Methodist Church.



The family sends a special thank you to Sarah Garrison, Margie McFarland, Michelle Good and all the In-Care Hospice nursing staff.



Relatives and friends are asked to attend a graveside service at 3 pm, Friday, April 15, 2011 in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort. Burial of the cremains will follow the service. Calling hours will not be held. Services are under the direction of EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the family.
