Violet Frisbie

Violet C. Frisbie, 65, of Frankfort, died at 11:24 p.m. on Thursday, May 19, 2022, at OSU Wexner Medical Center, Columbus. She was born on Monday, July 16, 1956, in Greenfield OH, the daughter of the late Arthur E. and Edna C. Mitchell Pettiford. On February 3, 2000, she married Bethel Ray Frisbie, who preceded her in death on June 1, 2020.

Violet is survived by two children, Leonard (DJ) Pettiford of Frankfort, Laurel Pettiford of Columbus, thirteen grandchildren, Eric Pettiford, Dreon Pettiford, Shyrell Pettiford, Denzel Pettiford, Kasmira Hutchinson, Carlos Hutchinson, Aidan Hutchinson, Alan Scott, Sara Park, Tyrell Pettiford, Bethany Pettiford, Tyrese Pettiford, five great-grandchildren, Layla Pettiford, Liam Park, Treyvon Scott, Julia Scott, Elijah Scott, and one soon to be born, Tyson Pettiford. She was preceded in death by one grandson, Marcus Pettiford, four sisters, Thelma Tranner, Daisy Wright, Laura Mae Hoosier, Mary Hicks, and five brothers, Arthur Jr., Russell, Ralph, David, and Wallace Pettiford.

Violet was a 1975 graduate of Adena High School and loved watching wrestling.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, May 23, 2022, in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort with Linda Hatfield officiating. No visitation will be held. Arrangements are under the direction of the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort.
