Vandle Jay Montgomery

 Vandle Jay Montgomery 83 of Bainbridge died Saturday, November 16, 2019 at his home. He was born December 30, 1935 in Magoffin County, KY the son of the late Lee and Nellie Risner Montgomery.

He is survived by his children, Janet Sue Montgomery and Jeff Montgomery; stepchildren, Kevin Hall and Kay Purdum; granddaughter, Isis Fuki and step granddaughter, Ashley Hall; sister, Margaret Greenhill; sister-in-law, Nava Montgomery; several nieces and nephews and his loyal companion, Buddy.

In addition to his parents Jay was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Louise Montgomery and his siblings, Belva, Troy, Bonnie, Coy and Joe.

Jay was an Army veteran and a member of the American Legion Post 14 of Bainbridge.

Funeral services will be 12 pm Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at the SMITH-MOORE-EBRIGHT Funeral Home of Bainbridge with Rev. Robert Evans officiating. Burial will follow in the Twin Township Cemetery with military honors by the Ross County Honor Guard. Friends may call from 11 am until the time of service.
