Troy Henry Cantrell

Troy H. Cantrell 63 of Peebles unexpectedly passed from this life Sunday, March 26, 2023 at his home. He was born February 16, 1960 in Elliott County, Kentucky the son of Frances (Lewis) Cantrell and the late Frank Cantrell.

Troy is survived by his mother Frances; children Matthew Henry Cantrell (Amber Smith), Rachel Elizabeth Kaye Cantrell, McKinley J. Cantrell and William Henry Cantrell (Stephanie Porter); 9 grandchildren; 3 sisters Julia (Mike) Heath, Kim (Danny) Pryor and Tonya (Jason) Andrews; a brother Dave (Debbie) Cantrell and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father, Troy was preceded in death by a daughter Valerie Lynn; nephews Tyler and Spencer Smith and a special friend McKinley Warth.

Troy loved being outdoors where he enjoyed hunting mushrooms and ginseng. He also enjoyed junking, reading, writing, antiques and listening to bluegrass.

Funeral services will be held 1 pm Friday, March 31, 2023 at the SMITH-MOORE-EBRIGHT Funeral Home, Bainbridge with Dave Cantrell officiating. Following the service Troy will be laid to rest by his daughter Valerie in the Bainbridge Cemetery. Friends may visit with Troy's family from 11 am until the time of service.
