Thomas E. Dennis

Thomas E. Dennis, Jr., 92, of Frankfort, died on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at Adena Regional Medical Center, Chillicothe. He was born on Wednesday, June 21, 1933, in Frankfort, the son of Thomas E. and Mary Henson Dennis, Sr.. On June 20, 1959, he married the former Carol Richardson and she survives.

Also surviving are his daughter, Sally (Derek) Cartee of Chillicothe, one sister, Joyce Dennis of Fairborn, one sister-in-law, Barbara Abernathy of Frankfort, one cousin, Sam (Rikki) Dennis of Chillicothe, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Tom was preceded in death by two sons, Thomas A. Dennis, Stephen E. "Spank" Dennis, as well as one sister, Jane Dennis.

Tom was a 1951 graduate of Frankfort High School and he then served his country proudly in The United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. He grew up belonging to the Frankfort United Methodist Church. He worked as an engineering technician for ODOT for over forty years. He served as manager and a coach for the Scioto Valley Youth Baseball League. He was a fan of the Cincinnati Reds and Bengals. Tom was a member of the Joseph Ellsworth White Post 483 American Legion, and during the span of his sixty-eight years of membership he held every leadership position.

In keeping with his wishes, Tom will be cremated. A time of visiting and sharing of memories with Tom's family will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at Ebright Funeral Home, Frankfort from 11:30am to 12:30pm and a military graveside service will immediately follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort. In lieu of flowers, Tom's family asks that memorial contributions be given to a charity of one's choice in Tom's memory.
