Susan Smith

Our mother, Susan Rebecca Smith, age 78, of Frankfort, Ohio, passed away, Thursday afternoon, May 8th, 2025, at her residence, after an extended illness.

She was born on July 22, 1946, to the late Frank and Bernice Higginbotham.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Thomas Smith, her grandson, John Michael Smith, her bonus daughter, Carol Harvey, two brothers, Ted (Marvene) Higginbotham and Emanuel (Irene) Higginbotham, three sisters, Diane (Dean) Smith, Dixie Harvey, and Robin Higginbotham Corey.

Susan was co-owner of T&S Greenhouse, which she ran for forty years with her husband. She was a true and faithful friend to everyone, and more than anything she loved to spend time with her family, especially Sunday dinner in which we all called Mom's Day.

Susan is survived by her children, Tommy (Alice) Smith, Willie (Stacie) Smith, Theresa Smith, all of Frankfort, Shannon (Jon) Easterday of Chillicothe, Shane (Jamie) Smith of Shelbyville, Tennessee, bonus sons, Jimmy and Everett Harvey of Frankfort, many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren, one sister, Beverly Higginbotham, and one brother, Johnny Higginbotham.

In keeping with her final wishes there will be no formal service. A celebration of life will be held at a later date for close friends and family. The EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort is serving the family.
