Stephen L. Tackett

Stephen Lee Tackett, 61, of Frankfort, passed from this life on Wednesday January 31, 2024, at Adena Hospital in Chillicothe. He was born on January 1, 1963, in Tacoma, Washington, to the late SFC Ossie and Edith Marie (Browning) Tackett. On February 14, 1985, he married Deema L. Keller who preceded him in death on January 20, 2024.

Stephen is survived by a son, Christopher Tackett, his three sisters Norma Y. (Ernest G.) McCoy, Linda J. (Daniel J.) Imler, Charlotte K. (William H.) Turner, and a brother Michael W. (Brenda) Tackett. Also surviving are a sister-in-Law Jeanette (David) Knisley, and a brother-in-law Tony (Allie) Copper. In addition to his parents and beloved wife of 39 years, Stephen was preceded in death by his stepson, Beau Keller.

Stephen had worked as a prison guard at Pickaway Correctional Institution for 30 years. Stephen loved collecting antique cameras. He had a calm quiet soul, and it could be said he was an "Animal Whisperer". Stephen's passion was raising his huskies, and he had many.

In keeping with Stephen's wishes he was cremated and there will be no viewing or services.  The EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort, is assisting the family. Family and friends who would like to share a memory of Stephen may sign his online register.
