Sherman R. "Bud" Knisley

Sherman R “Bud” Knisley, 83, of Bainbridge, died 10:17am Thursday, December 28, 2017, at Hearth & Care, Greenfield. He was born on April 3, 1934 in Ross County the son of the late Joe and Martha Kinnison Knisley. On August 8, 1953 he married Rola Butler Knisley who passed away February 9, 2009.

Bud is survived by his sons, Jack (Kathy) Knisley, Gary (Helen) Knisley and Brian (Wanda) Knisley; 14 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren; sisters, Iona “Tiss” Knisley and Norma Faye Lampen and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by sons, Mark and Joseph “Chip” Knisley; sisters, Midge, Tidley and Bernice and a brother, John Knisley.

Bud retired from construction and he was a member of the United Steel Workers Union. He liked woodworking and he loved reading especially anything to do with history.

Funeral services will be held 1 pm Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at the SMITH-MOORE-EBRIGHT Funeral Home of Bainbridge. Burial will follow in the Bainbridge Cemetery. Friends may visit with Bud’s family from 5 to 7 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
