Ruby Minney Gray, 94 of Chillicothe died 7:25 pm Friday, June 17, 2016 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus. She was born December 20, 1921 in Hombolt County, Iowa to the late Charles and Margaret Carter Peirce.
In May of 1940 Ruby married John W. Minney who died in October of 1968. In March of 1973 she married Harry E. Gray who died in January of 2013.
She is survived by 7 children, Edna (Pete) Kinzer, Mary Jo (Steve) McClain, Telytha "Tice" (Olin) Rumfield, and Lindy "Peach" (John) Lilley, Larry (Rosemary) Minney, John William (Terry) Minney, and Harvey "Hob" Minney; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Maxine Curey and Mildred Hill; brother, Leo Pierce; a host of nieces and nephews and a very special friend, Wanda Myers.
In addition to her parents and husbands she was preceded in death by 5 brothers and sisters, 2 granddaughters, 2 grandsons, and a great grandson.
Ruby loved gardening and taking care of her rose bushes, doing jigsaw puzzles, and caring for her all her dogs especially, Willie.
Graveside services will be held 2 pm Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at the Twin Township Cemetery officiated by Rev. David Maughmer. Friends may visit with Ruby's family from 11 am until 1:30 pm on Wednesday at the SMITH-MOORE-EBRIGHT Funeral Home of Bainbridge.
