Rose Ann McGlone

Rose Ann (Riddle) McGlone 79 of Peebles, Ohio went to be with her Lord and Savior on Nov. 22, 2021, at 4:25 a.m. following an illness. Her family was by her side when the angels took her to that beautiful mansion in heaven. She was born Feb. 4, 1942, to John and Thana Riddle who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were 2 husbands George Ray Whitley, Woodrow Wilson Knisley, brother Alfred Riddle, a sister Louise Montgomery, an infant brother and a stepdaughter Little Rose McGlone.

She leaves behind a wonderful, and loving husband of 35 years, Harold Gene McGlone whom she adored. Two children: George Michael (Millanaca) Whitley of Bainbridge, Sandra Lynn Sharfenaker of Bainbridge, 4 Stepchildren: Tony (Sandy) McGlone of Bainbridge, Greg (Jana) McGlone of Greenfield, Genea Lynn Stayroke of Washington CH and Tim (Connie) McGlone of Columbus a Sister Josie Montgomery of Waverly, a brother Johnnie Riddle of Columbus. Rose had 18 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren whom she dearly loved and lots of nieces and nephews.

Rose also liked to teach the grandchildren how to sew and cook, they loved and enjoyed it very much. She also enjoyed going to Church at Pine Top and loved to sing. She always loved her garden and canning her crops and would always want to be the first to have a ripe tomato.

Rose was cook for the Western School District from 1978 — 2000. She enjoyed all the kids that would come through her lunch line and would give some kids special names and loved to make each kid feel special in their own way. She also loved all the kids she met whether it be school, or church or just anywhere. Some called her the cookie monster, because she would dress up like him during bible school and pass out cookies.

She will be dearly missed by all. Enjoy your field of flowers and the kids you always saw in your journey.

Funeral services will be held 1 pm Saturday November 27, 2021 at the Smith-Moore-Ebright Funeral Home, Bainbridge with Rev. Hurley Hamilton officiating. Rose will be laid to rest in Cynthiana Cemetery beside George Whitley. Friends may visit with Rose's family from 11 am until the time of service.
