Robert E. Martin 85 of Chillicothe passed away 8:50 pm Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at his home with his loving family by his side. He was born Thursday, July 8, 1937, in Chillicothe the son of the late Alvin and Katherine Yencer Martin. He was also preceded in death by a sister Barbara Johnson and a grandson Daryl Martin, Jr.

On Saturday, October 17, 1964, he married Shirley M. Penrod Martin, who survives. Also surviving are four children Daryl (Bonnie) Martin, Kevin (Tammy) Martin, John Martin and Ronda (Mike) McKinnis; grandchildren Jennifer (Chris) Endicott, Megan (Tim) Moore, Matthew (Mikah) McKinnis, and Danielle (Basil) Martin; great grandchildren Dylan, Alexis, Autumn, Braxton, Colton, Hazel and Myla.

Robert was a retired painter and he enjoyed fishing, watching drag racing, and going to car shows.

Funeral services will be held 11 am Monday, October 31, 2022, at the Smith-Moore-Ebright Funeral Home, Bainbridge with Pastor Ryan Bevins officiating. Following the service Robert will be laid to rest in the Twin Township Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 am until the time of service on Monday.
