Rhonda Gayle Sollars

Rhonda Gayle Sollars 71 of Bainbridge went to be with Lord, peacefully Sunday, April 12, 2026, following an extended illness. She was born Thursday, April 29, 1954, in Bainbridge, to George E. and Barbara (Purvis) Cawley. She was a 1972 graduate of Paint Valley High School and received her Master’s degree from Maryland Grove College in 1991. Rhonda had taught at Paint Valley Elementary for 20 years.

Rhonda was devoted to her family and was a very proud Nannie. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, James E. Sollars; daughter Karen (Mel) Richardson; grandchildren Emily Rachelle Evans, fiancé` Luke Stidham and McKenzie Rachelle (Caleb) Ruark, Shelden (Jade) Richardson and Grace Richardson; two great grandchildren Marley and Myla Ruark; her mother Barbara Cawley; sister Lori Wagoner both of Bainbridge; brother Shane (Tiffany) Cawley of Hilton Head, SC; she also leaves many other family members and friends that will deeply miss her.

In addition to her father Rhonda was preceded in death by her son Christopher Sollars; brother Kevin Cawley and brother-in-law Rick Wagoner.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, April 16 at the SMITH-MOORE-EBRIGHT Funeral Home, Bainbridge. Following the service, she will be laid to rest beside her son Chris in the Bainbridge Cemetery.

Family and friends may call from 12:00- 2:00 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
