Randy L. Carter passed from this life August 16th, 2023, after a long battle with pancreatic cancer.  He was born March 30, 1955, to Martha (Shoemaker) and Wilbur Carter.  In 1975 he married his high school sweetheart Carol, who he leaves behind.  He also leaves behind his son Chase (Heather) Carter, his granddaughter Chloe Carter, sisters Linda (Robert) Compher, Debbie Maughmer, Judy Pachesky, sisters-in-law Patty (Harold) McKeever, Jeannie (Matt) Anderson, his brother Richard Carter, nieces and nephews, and close friends Rick Potts and Boone Adkins.  He was predeceased by his parents, father-in-law Russell Richardson, brothers-in-law Ken Pachesky and Charley Maughmer, and close friends Doug Knisley and Fred Rhoades.

Randy was a timberman and avid outdoorsman his entire life.  He enjoyed hunting, but most loved fishing, especially for shovelhead and saugeye.  He felt most comfortable in the woods where he spent most of his time.  He was a member of Bainbridge Lodge 196 of Free and Accepted Masons, where he was a past master.

Friends and family are invited for calling hours from 12 PM to 2 PM Saturday August 19th at the Smith-Moore-Ebright Funeral Home in Bainbridge, Ohio with a Masonic funeral service following.  A small private burial will be held in the Bainbridge Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
