Norman Dan "Skeeter" Sowers, 50, of Washington C.H., died Wednessday, March 30, 2011 at 6:00 a.m at Winchester Place, Canal Winchester following a lengthy illness. He was born on Nov. 8, 1960 in Chillicothe, the son of Thomas and Elizabeth Sever Sower.



He is survived by his mother; Elizabeth "Lib" Sowers of Washington C.H., his three children; Brooke Sowers (Dylon Sparks), Tessa Sowers, Ross Sowers all of Chillicothe, one grandchild; Caydon Sparks, one sister; Carol (Maurice) Storts of Clarksburg, five brothers; Chuck (Judy) Sowers of Clarksburg, Tom (Mary Ann) Sowers of Frankfort, Don (Ruth Ann) Sowers of Clarksburg, Larry (Crystal) Sowers of Williamsport, Jim (Tina) Sowers of Washington CH, a special aunt and caregiver; Mary Lou Barrett of Xenia, special aunts; Jenny and Till. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Sowers and his grandparents.



Skeeter's family would like to give special thanks to Jeff Carpenter, Bobby and Missy Swords, Peg and Dave Storts.



He had attended Heritage Memorial Church in Washington C.H. As a hobby, Skeeter was a picker and he operated an auction house and loved yard sales.



A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, April 3, 2011 from noon to 6 p.m. at 25878 Thompson Rd., Williamsport, OH Drew Howard will conclude the event with a brief service. In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place. The EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, FRANKFORT is serving the family.
