Michael Joe Martin

Michael Joe Martin 41 of Greenfield unexpectedly passed from this life Friday, September 29, 2023 at Adena Greenfield Hospital. He was born January 8, 1982 in Chillicothe, Ohio.

He is survived by his parents Alma and Douglas Shoemaker; son M. Isaac Martin; daughters Chelsea and Skyler Dollarhide; brothers, Joshua (Kristie) Smith, Jesse (Kayla) Ponder, Randall Ponder, Justin Ponder, Jeremy Martin, Steven Martin and Derrick Shumaker; stepsisters, Nishi Bellamy, Kishi Jernigan and Braylee Brown; his girlfriend Stacy Calhoun and her two daughters Kaylee Newsome and Ady Calhoun.

Michael was preceded in death by his grandmother Edith Thuroughmam. 

Michael was an outdoorsman where he enjoyed fishing, kayaking and working. Recently he and Isaac were working on a pond.

The family is planning to have a Celebration of Michael’s life in a few days.
