Melissa Anne King

Melissa Anne King 47 of Pickerington passed from this life 11:35 am Sunday, January 2, 2022 at Riverside Methodist Hospital following a brief illness. She was born July 17, 1974 in Dayton, Ohio the daughter of Melody Jean Thompson and Walter Kenneth Poff.

Melissa is survived by her mother Melody; father Kenny (Pam) Poff; four children Brianna Madruga, Cody (Madison) King, Amberly Shouse and Audrey Shouse; three grandchildren Adilyn Chaney, Everly King and Gracelyn King; sister Mandy Rockelle (Jason) Kenney and her dog Lucy.

She was preceded in death by her great grandmother Elsie Carter; grandfather Elwin Paul Thompson; her mammy and papaw Shirley (Carter) and Dwayne Kriebel and her best friend Christa Fortner-Thompson.

Melissa was a nurse and selflessly gave to her career. She enjoyed studying the bible and spending time with her family.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date and her remains will be placed in the Bainbridge Cemetery. The SMITH-MOORE-EBRIGHT Funeral Home of Bainbridge is serving the family.
