Maurice L. Rapp 78 of Bainbridge died unexpectedly Friday, January 21, 2011 at his residence, following an extended illness. He was born June 14, 1932 in South Charleston, Ohio the son of the late Solomon S. and Mary Alice Lower Rapp.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his wife, Eva E. Holbert Rapp; one sister and five brothers.
He is survived by two sons, Luke L. (Kathleen Ann) Rapp of Chillicothe and Mark W. (Kimberly) Rapp of Bainbridge; 3 grandchildren, Kathryn Suzanne, Mary Ellen and Ambrosia Rapp; two great grandchildren, Cadan and Wyatt; and three sisters.
Maurice was a Navy veteran of the Korean War and he was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 14 of Bainbridge.
A graveside service will be held 12 pm Noon Wednesday, January 26, 2011 in the Bainbridge Cemetery with Rev. Rick Hartley officiating. The Ross County Honor Guard will accord a military service. No calling hours will be observed.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society PO Box 22718 Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718.
