Mary Elizabeth "Lib" Bethel

Mary Elizabeth "Lib" Bethel, 94, of Chillicothe, died Tuesday morning, Sept. 27, 2011 at Heartland of Chillicothe. She was born in Ross County on April 21, 1917 the daughter of the late Thorton and Minnie Detty Morris. On December 12, 1936 she married Vernon O. Bethel who preceded her in death on July 13, 1984.

Lib is survived by two grandchildren; Tracy (Dena) Brookover and Teri (Tim) Glaze all of Chillicothe, three great grandchildren; Cami Jo, Jessica and Hunter, her son-in-law; Ralph Brookover of Chillicothe, a special niece; Jan Immell of Chillicothe. She was preceded in death by one daughter; Karen Brookover, one granddaughter; Lisa Jo Brookover, two sisters and six brothers.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday Sept. 30, 2011 at the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort with Pastor Neil Foster officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
