Marjorie June Swift, 95, Frankfort, passed away at 1:22 p.m. on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at the Adena Regional Medical Center, Chillicothe. She was born on Friday, December 21, 1928 in Ross County, a daughter of the late Earl E. and Ruth Blazer Moody. She married Andrew J. Swift, Jr. on September 13, 1947. He preceded her in death on September 7, 1978.

She is survived by two daughters; Ruth Ann Russell of Frankfort and Mary Rose Biedenholz of Monroe, MI, four granddaughters; Debbie (Allen) Burger, June (Ed) Clark, Beth (Don) Riddle and Lori (Bob) Urdahl, ten great grandchildren, nine great - great grandchildren and one on the way, two sisters-in-law; Opal Moody of Xenia and Robin Moody of Frankfort. She was preceded in death by her son, John Swift, three sisters; Helen Burns, Goldie McWhorter and Shirley Moody Smith, four brothers; Herbert, Roy, Ed and Fred Moody and one son-in-law, Henry F. "Hank" Russell.

June was a member of the Austin United Methodist Church and was a member of the Frankfort American Legion Auxiliary. She helped many years at the Legion's Fish Fry, where many sought her delicious lemon meringue pie.

June's family wishes to thank all the staff at The Vineyards at Concord for all the great and loving care they gave June the last six years.

In keeping with June's wishes, her service will be held at the convenience of the family. June also requested no public calling hours to be observed. She will be laid to rest beside her husband, Andrew, in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort. The EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME of Frankfort is serving the family.
