Margaret I. Lee

Margaret I. Lee, 91, of Frankfort, died on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at her home. She was born on Friday, August 12, 1932, in Brown County, a daughter of the late Noah Harlen and Madge E. Unger Silvia. On January 14, 1951, she married Follet E. Lee, and he preceded her in death on September 21, 2021. 

Margaret is survived by her three children, Rodney (Judy) Lee, of Chillicothe, Karen (Mark Rice) Fannin, of Frankfort, Brenda (Joe) Loewendick, of Frankfort, nine grandchildren, Angie, Melissa, Cindy (Daniel), Chad (Michelle), Cynthia (Daniel), Jessica, Amanda, Joey (Barb), Drew (Megan), Rachel (Jimmy), eleven great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, two sisters, Opal (Stanley) Liest, of Washington Court House, Thelma Linehan, of Maumee, two brothers, David Silvia of Thornville, Roy Silvia, of Mesa, Arizona. She was preceded in death by one son, Marcus Lee, one great-granddaughter, Brenlee Hope Lane-Lawson, one sister, Gladys Daft, and one brother, Noah Robert "Bud" Silvia.

Margaret was a member of the Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, cooking, family get-togethers, and cookouts. She never met a stranger and if you just popped in at her house she always made sure you did not leave hungry. She was an inspiration to all who knew her. At 82 she bought an organ and taught herself how to play for her own pleasure. Always looking on the bright side of life and seeing the best in everyone. Her famous sayings were "That's just the facts of life" and "What's to be, will be". 

A funeral service for Margaret will be held at 1pm on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, in the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort, with Pastor Brett Fisher officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort. Family and friends can visit with Margaret's family from 11am until the time of the service. Memorial contributions are suggested to: Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church, 98 E. Valley Dr., Chillicothe, OH 45601.Those who wish to share a memory of Margaret and may sign her online register.
