Margaret J Hughes

Margaret J. (McQuiniff) Hughes, 92, of Frankfort, passed from this life at 12:30pm, on Friday, November 11, 2011 at Adena Regional Medical Center, Chillicothe. With her five children at her bedside, Margaret was granted her wish and now rests in Heaven in the arms of her savior, Jesus Christ. Margaret was born on September 25, 1919 on a small farm in Ross County, the daughter of the late Harry and Bonnie Sowers McQuiniff. On August 2, 1938 she married Charles David Hughes, who preceded her in death on August 29, 1999.

She is survived by her children; Bonnie (Bob) Patchin of Borrego Springs CA, Pat (Bud) Starnes of Frankfort, Charles (Martha) Hughes of Greer SC, Michael Hughes of Marion IL, and Bob (Janet) Hughes of Granger IN, 11 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren, three sisters; Ruth (Willie) Spears of Riceboro FL, Hilda Moody and Helen (Bill) Starr all of Frankfort. She was preceded in death by two brothers; Ben and Jess McQuiniff.

Margaret was a 1938 graduate of Frankfort High School. She was an active member of the Frankfort United Methodist Church, and the Order of the Eastern Star, where she had proudly served as Worthy Matron. She was also a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She will be lovingly remembered by her family and many friends.

Funeral service will be held at 1pm on Monday, November 14, 2011 in the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort with Pastor Neil Foster officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 5 to 8 pm.
