Lois F. Starr

Lois F. Starr, 81, of Austin, died at 8:40 a.m. on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at Westmoreland Place, Chillicothe. She was born on February 20, 1935 in Chillicothe, the daughter of the late John H. and Bonnie McGowan Hale. She is survived by her husband of sixty two years, James R. Starr and they were married on Easter Sunday, April 18, 1954.

Also surviving are one son; Rick Starr of Austin, two daughters; Marcia R. (Phil) Coates of Jamestown and Debbie D. (Bill) Newland of Clarksburg, seven grandchildren; Austin Starr, Andy Starr, Aubrey Starr, Jeremy Coates, Greg, Michael and Hannah Newland.

Lois was a 1953 graduate of the Frankfort High School. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother. For over thirty years, Lois was an Avon Representative in the Frankfort community. She was a member of the Austin United Methodist Church and for more than fifty years was the piano player for the church. Lois was a member of the Austin Garden and on the last Friday of every month she was playing Canasta with her card club.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 1, 2016 in the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort with Pastor Neil Foster officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort.
