Lois Machesney

Lois E. Machesney, 85, of Frankfort, died unexpectedly on Friday evening, September 2, 2022, at the Adena Regional Medical Center, Chillicothe. She was born on Monday, March 8, 1937, in Chillicothe, the daughter of the late Russell E. and Marguerite Stump Bainter. On June 22, 1957, she married Richard E. Machesney, and he preceded her in death on March 31, 1993.

She is survived by one son, Jeff (Brenda) Machesney of Frankfort, two grandchildren, Tara Machesney of Frankfort, Wes Machesney of Milford, four great-grandchildren, Dylan, Elena, AJ, Ariel, one niece, Cherie Justus, and one nephew, Bruce Justus. She was preceded in death by one sister, Betty Justus.

Lois was a 1955 graduate of Frankfort High School. She worked several years as postmaster at the Frankfort post office. She was a member of the Frankfort Methodist Church and Order of the Eastern Star. Lois was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan. She was extremely proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A funeral service for Lois will be held on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at 1p.m. in the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort. Friends can visit with Lois' family on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8p.m..
