"Once a Warrior always a Warrior," Leonard Lee Hoppes, 78, of Frankfort, died at his home on Thursday, September 17, 2026. He was born on September 16, 1948, in Springfield, Ohio, to the late George Hinton and Carrie Richardson Hoppes.
Leonard is survived by his "mom," Judy Milliken, his brother, keeper, and best friend, John Milliken, his home health nurse of several years, Denise Davis, and all of his extended family and friends that he made while living in the Frankfort Village. Leonard is preceded in death by his "dad," Dave Milliken.
Leonard was a 1971 graduate of The Pioneer School, Chillicothe. He was the Adena Warriors Number One Fan, he was team manager for many of Adena Schools athletic programs including football, basketball, and baseball. He had a large impact on many young athletes, children, and coaching staff that he met through the years at Adena. When he wasn't on the sidelines of a sporting event you could often find Leonard on Gwen's front porch, in Harper's Garage, at 35 Raceway, or at a Chillicothe Paints Baseball game.
A graveside service for Leonard will be held at 10 AM, Wednesday, September 23, 2026, in Good Hope Cemetery, Good Hope, with Pastor Dan Bennett officiating. Family and friends can visit with Leonard's family on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 PM, in Ebright Funeral Home, Frankfort.
