Lavada F. Saxour, 94, of Grandview, Indiana, formerly of Frankfort, died at 4:13am, on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at her daughter's home. She was born on Friday, May 11, 1928, in Washington C.H., the daughter of the late Charles E. and Ina Brown Adams. On August 31, 1946, she married Samuel H. Saxour, and he preceded her in death on June 5, 1993. She later married Howard J. Lees on August 10, 1994, and he preceded her in death on December 3, 2014.
She is survived by her children, Charles "Jake" Saxour of Chillicothe, Sandra (Gerald) Bostick of Grandview, Indiana, daughter-in-law, Mia Saxour of Chillicothe, twelve grandchildren, many great and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sons, Samuel H. Saxour II, Leslie "Moe" Saxour, Michael "Snooks" Saxour, special nephew, Gary Saxour, sisters, Laurabel Cooley, Marie Stewart, brothers, Albert "Pete" Adams, Edward "Eddie" Adams, Joseph Adams, Charles Adams, Harry "Gene" Adams, James Adams, her pet dog, Lady, and cat, Miss Kitty.
Lavada attended Washington High in Washington Court House, and later worked as a nurse's aide at the Veteran Affairs Medical Center, Chillicothe.
A graveside service for Lavada will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2023, at 1 p.m. in the Floral Hills Memory Garden, Chillicothe, with Jeremiah Martindale officiating. In lieu of flowers the family suggests planting a tree in memory of Lavada or by making a donation to a charity of your choice in memory of her.
