Keith "Monk" Ratcliffe, 50, of Frankfort, died unexpectedly Tuesday morning, May 18, 2010 at his home. He was born on July 20, 1959, in Ross County, the son of Billy E. and Margaret "Peggy" McMahon Ratcliffe. His father preceded him in death.
He is survived by his mother, Margaret "Peggy" Ratcliffe of Frankfort, one daughter; Danielle Ratcliffe of Grove City, three sisters; Shelly Ratcliffe, Debbie (Jim) Dreitzler all of Frankfort, Jackie (George) Barnes of Washington C.H., two brothers; Danny (Nicholette) Ratcliffe of Chillicothe, Billy (Nancy) Ratcliffe of Frankfort and many nieces and nephews.
Monk was a1977 graduate of Adena High School. He was an avid and talented harness race horse trainer and driver. He was a member of the United States Trotting Association.

Family and friends are asked to attend a graveside service on Friday, May 21, 2010 at 11 am in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort where Pastor Dwain Lee will officiate. Calling hours will not be observed. The Ebright Funeral Home, Frankfort is serving the family. In keeping with Monk's love of horses, the family asks that flowers not be sent but a contribution be made in his memory to the Ross County Fair Harness Racing, c/o Billy Pickerill, 1455 Polk Hollow Rd., Chillicothe, OH 45601.
