Pap was the inventor of hugs; he gave the best and always had a smile on his face. Pap didn’t know a stranger and just enjoyed being around people.
Pap was a hounds-men, trapper, root digger, music lover (Pap knew every song he heard but never sing the right words), card player (but Pap always cheated), mushroom hunter, coach, 4H advisor and a gambler.
Pap’s first love for running hounds was fox hunting with his buddies; then running his rabbit dogs. Pap was one of the first members of the First Capital Rabbit Hunters where he held many capacities there and with A.R.H.A. NKC.
Pap was in the Hall of Fame and had multiple dogs also in the Hall of Fame. Heaven has gained a new Master of Hounds.
Paps favorite thing to do was to grab a cigar and a glass of bourbon to sit outside on the back porch surrounded by family and friends listening to music.
We leave you a quote from Pap. “It matters not how a man dies but how he lives”. A Celebration of Mike's life will be held from 1 to 4 pm Saturday, June 28, at the SMITH-MOORE-EBRIGHT Funeral Home, Bainbridge with a brief service to be held following the celebration at 4 pm.
