John W. Holbert 73 of Bainbridge passed from this life, Thursday, November 23, 2023. He was born Tuesday, October 24, 1950, in Ross County to the late John and Dorothy M. (Skaggs) Holbert.
John is survived by sons Jeff (Angie) Holbert and JR (Rachel) Holbert; grandchildren Jaren, Logan and Avery; sister Jean (William) Whitehouse; brother Robert (Misty) Holbert; sister-in-law Cathi Holbert; brother-in-law William Strausbaugh; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends including Dale Dummitt, Dana and Mary Lou Schmidt.
In addition to his parents John was preceded in death by his sister Jane Strausbaugh; brother Joel Holbert and nephew Steve Holbert.
John worked in paving most of his life and he enjoyed fox hunting.
A celebration of John’s life will be held from 5-7 pm on Monday, December 4, 2023 at the SMITH-MOORE-EBRIGHT Funeral Home, Bainbridge.
