John D. Miller

John D. Miller, 65, of Clarksburg, died at 5:51am on Friday, November 4, 2016, at Adena Regional Medical Center, Chillicothe. He was born on September 28, 1951 in Columbus, the son of the late Stanley and Clara Winner Miller. His wife, the former Patricia Moss survives.

John is also survived by three children; Walter Douglas (Amanda) Miller of Chillicothe, Buddy Puckett of South Bloomfield, Wendy (Jeff) Koonts of New Lexington KY, six grandchildren; Chelsea, Austin, Morgan, Reese, McKenzie, Elizabeth, one great-granddaughter, Madelyn, two sisters; Leah (Gary) Wood of Chillicothe, Kim Faulkner of Kingston, two brothers, David (Lois) Miller of Frankfort, and Robert (Eva) Miller of Chillicothe.

John was a 1971 graduate of Adena High School and proudly served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. John worked as an electrician for the Ohio correctional system and retired after having worked in Lucasville and at CCI. He was a member of the AmVets Post 4, Chillicothe and loved to fish. His family would like to give special thanks to his nurses, Tonya Haines and Tina Joseph.

A graveside service will be held at 11 am on Monday, November 7, 2016, in the Floral Hills Cemetery, Chillicothe. In keeping with John's wishes, no calling hours will be held. Military honors will be accorded by the Ross County Honor Guard. The EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort, is serving the family.
