John Thomas "Tom" Mallow, Sr., 92, of Clarksburg, died on Sunday, November 30, 2025, at his home. He was born on Thursday, October 12, 1933, in Ross County, the son of the late John Ray and Laura Helen DeWeese Mallow. He married the former DJ Hensen on June 21, 2002, and she survives.
Also surviving are his four children, John Thomas Mallow, Jr. of Tennessee, Nancy (Mike) Bentz of Stuart, FL, Greg Mallow of Grove City, Diane (Larry) Gartin of Clarksburg twenty one grandchildren and great-grandchildren, one sister, Martha “Mert” Mallow, two sisters-in-law, Mary (Mike) Anson and Carol (David) Keathley. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, John Ray and Laura Helen Mallow.
Growing up in the Frankfort and Clarksburg area, Tom attended Austin and Frankfort Schools. He was a 1952 graduate of Frankfort High School and he then served his country proudly in The United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Tom worked as a farmer his whole life and did autobody work.
A funeral service for Tom will be held on Friday, December 5, 2025, at 12 PM, at Ebright Funeral Home, Frankfort. He will then be buried in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort, where military honors will be accorded by the Ross County Honor Guard. Family and friends may visit with Tom's family at the funeral home on Thursday, December 4, 2025, from 3 to 7 PM. Those who wish to share a memory of Tom may do so by signing his online register book.
