John Robert Kinnamon

John Robert "Shag" Kinnamon, 62, of Washington CH, died on Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at Rhodes Hall, OSU in Columbus after a prolonged illness. He was born on July 3, 1948 in Ross County, the son of Darrel L. Kinnamon and Mary C. Haynes. He is survived by his special friend Pauline Bryant who had been John's faithful companion for many, many years.

Also surviving are his mother; Mary C. Butler of Chillicothe, step-daughters; Kathy (Andrew) Entrekin, Angie (Michael) Reisinger all of Washington CH, six grandchildren that he loved with all of his heart; Caeleb Reisinger, Tylor Haggard, Brandon Reisinger, Austin Caplinger, Jordan Caplinger and Haylee Entrekin, sister; Cathy (Tom) Stafford of Chillicothe, brother; Chauncey Kinnamon of Chillicothe, nieces; Alphie Stevens, Betsy Kinnamon and Mari (Todd) Rearley, nephew; Andy (Renita) Caplinger, all of Chillicothe. John also had several aunts, uncles, many grand-nieces and nephews, numerous cousins and numerous other acquaintances that he became fond of over the years,. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his father; Darrel on July 2, 1960, and his step-father; Robert Butler on September 12, 1999.

John retired from Steelox after 35 years of service and was involved in Harness Horse Racing for most of his life.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, Dec. 20, 2010 at 1 p.m. in the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort with Harold Rutledge officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 11am until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Central Regional Office, 870 Michigan Avenue, Columbus OH 43215.
