John Alan Howard

John A. Howard, 94, of Frankfort OH, passed from this life, Friday January 7, 2011 at Hearth & Care Nursing Facility of Greenfield after a brief illness. John was born on October 21, 1916 in Woodford County Kentucky, the son of the late John W. and Lena Phillips Howard. On February 2, 1957 he married the former Elizabeth Jane Tarter who survives.



In addition to his wife, John is survived by three children; Rebecca (Mike) Allen of Friendship OH, David (Kim) Howard of Omaha NE, and Elizabeth Howard of Gray KY, six grandchildren; Joshua Halder, Rachael Gragg, Aja, Andrew, Alissa and Catherine Howard, two brothers; Richard Howard of Georgetown KY and Charles Howard of Lexington KY, and special friend; Pastor Cliff Rowe of Frankfort.



John was a decorated World War II veteran and a loving and dedicated husband, father, grandfather and friend.



Private family services will be observed. Calling hours will not be held. The EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, FRANKFORT is serving the family.
