Joanne Harris

Joanne H. Harris, 77, of Chillicothe, died at 10:04 a.m. on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, in Chillicothe, a daughter of the late Harold Daniel and Nellie Louise Bethel Carroll. On November 15, 1966, she married Everett C. Harris, who survives.

In addition to her husband, Joanne is survived by a daughter, Connie (Bill) Campbell of McArthur, a son, Everett "EJ" Harris Jr. of Chillicothe, three grandchildren, Dawn, Chad, and Brandon, four great-grandchildren, Gavin, Mason, Cam, and Elora, and two sisters, Jean (Kenny) Burns of Columbus, and Ruth (Jay) McGuire of Chillicothe. In addition to her parents, Joanne was preceded in death by three sisters, Jane, Joyce, and Judy, and two brothers, Harold "Bud", and Lemuel "Lem". Her family wishes to express thanks to special friends, September Barnhart, and Alyx Mullinnex, and all of Adena Hospice.

Joanne was a 1966 graduate of Adena High School and was a co-owner and manager of Goof Trucking. She loved country music, especially Conway Twitty, and attending music festivals. She was a collector of dolls and angels and loved spending time with her family and friends.

A funeral service for Joanne will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, July 21, 2025, in the Ebright Funeral Home, Frankfort, with Chaplain Samuel Lore officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens, Chillicothe. Calling hours for Joanne will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, July 20, from 4 to 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, Joanne's family request that memorial contributions be made to Adena Hospice, 2077 Western Ave, Chillicothe OH 45601.
