Jess H. McQuiniff, Sr

Jess H. McQuiniff, Sr., 82, of Clarksburg, died Saturday morning, January 8, 201,1 at Heartland of Chillicothe. Jess was born on January 24, 1928 the son of the late Harry and Bonnie Sowers McQuiniff..



Jess is survived by his wife; the former Marilyn Wills, daughter; Linda (Larry)Cochenour, of Clarksburg,sons; David, of Clarksburg, Jess H. (Judy)McQuiniff, Jr., of Chillicothe, Harry J. (Angie)McQuiniff, Thomas W. (Carol)McQuiniff, both of Clarksburg, 14 granchildren, 6 great grandchildren, sisters; Margaret Hughes of Frankfort, Ruth Spears of Fleming, GA., Hilda Moody of Frankfort, Helen June Starr of Frankfort. He was preceded in death by one brother, Ben McQuiniff.



Jess served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Austin United Methodist Church. Jess retired as a corrections officer from CCI and for many years was a bus driver for Adena Schools. He was president of the WIlliamsport Trade and Auction House.



Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, January 11, 2011 from 5 to 7 p.m. at THE EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, FRANKFORT. Following callings hours a brief service will be conducted by Darrell Newland. Cremation will follow and burial of the cremains will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort. The family kindly requests no flowers be sent, instead they ask memorial donations be made to the Ross County Humane Society, 2308 Lick Run Rd, Chillicothe, OH 45601.
