Jeremy Ray Grubb, 34, of Bainbridge met Jesus in the early morning hours of Sunday August 21, 2011 after a courageous battle with cancer for ten months. He was born on September 16, 1976. On March 20th, 1998 Jeremy married his wife of thirteen years, Tonja Hinshaw Grubb. He became an amazing stepfather to Tristan Rumfield (Matt Norman) and later became the proud father of two sons, Caden and Cordell Grubb.

In addition to his wife and children, Jeremy is survived by his parents Bo and Teresa Grubb and Ranae and Brian Stratton; brothers, Travis (Blair) Grubb, Caleb and Clay Stratton; grandparents, Jack and Dorothy McCloskey, Janie and Darold Grubb; greatA grandparent, Joe Grubb; father-in-law, Roger Hinshaw; brother-in-law, Aaron (Danielle) Hinshaw; sister-in-law, Tammy (Gary) Kuhr; neices and nephews, Taylor and Rylan Grubb, Trevor, Tye and Emma Hinshaw, Avery and Adler Kuhr. Jeremy loved and was loved by all listed, along with many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by a sister Kelsey Stratton and mother-in-law Crystal Hinshaw.

Jeremy, or "Grubby "as known by many family, friends and co-workers was a man of God, faithful and strong who always put his family first. Jeremy spent much of his time supporting his kids, whether it was standing on the sideline coaching his boys in little league or cheering his daughter on from the bleachers. He enjoyed the great outdoors and you could often find him hunting and fishing as well as horseback riding and camping with family and friends. Jeremy was a member of Storms Chapel where he used his beautiful voice to sing praises to God. He was employed by Boilermakers Local # 105 and was very successful winning several awards for his outstanding welding ability. A 1995 graduate of Paint Valley High School, "Grubby" lived for football Friday nights. Jeremy Ray Grubb was a hardworking man with a big heart and fun loving personality that could make anyone smile. Although his life was short the list of lives he has touched is long. He will always be in our hearts and never forgotten.



Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at the Bainbridge United Methodist Church from 4 to 8 pm. Funeral services will be held at 1 pm Thursday at Storms Chapel Church on Spargursville Road with Rev. Sammie Cooper officiating, burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. The SMITH-MOORE-EBRIGHT Funeral Home of Bainbridge is serving the family.
