Janice S. Saunders (Dennis)

Janice Sylvia (North) Saunders (Dennis), 91 of Greenfield, passed away peacefully at home on Thanksgiving, November 27, 2025. She was born on May 18, 1934, to Howard A. and Sylvia L. Chenoweth North in Pickaway County Ohio.

Janice lived in Circleville, before moving with her parents to Phoenix AZ. She lived there until her mother's death when Janice was 12 years old. Afterwards, Janice moved to New Holland to live with her Aunt Ester and cousins where she met her future husband, Hugh Dennis Jr. They started a family and moved to Greenfield Ohio. Janice lived in Leesburg where she met and married Carl Saunders until his death. She then moved to Hillsboro where she met many friends and was a member of the United Methodist Church. Janice enjoyed her family and loved flower gardens and cooking. She loved soap operas, cats, birds and embroidery. Janice actively read her Bible and listened to Christian music on radio and tv programs.

Janice is survived by her brother, Jim North (Diane) of Grove City, OH, four daughters, Sylvia McClure of Indianapolis, IN, Debbie (Jim) McCreary of Los Altos Hills, CA, Susan (Max) Potter of Chillicothe, Ellen Dennis of Columbus, and two sons, Hugh Dennis of South Salem and Wesley Dennis of Greenfield; eleven grandchildren and their spouses and many great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, Tom (Nancy) North, son-in-law, Steve McClure, and daughter-in-law, Kim Dennis.

A Celebration of Life is being planned for family and close friends of Janice.

The family extends a special thank you to Anderson-Ebright Funeral Home for their caring support. A private service is being planned.
