James Beau Hitt

James Beau Hitt, 41, of Chillicothe, died unexpectedly on Friday, November 21, 2025, due to injuries sustained from an ATV accident. He was the son of the former Mindy Hitt, and she preceded him in death on January 5, 1996. On October 13, 2018, he married the former Christina Lanman, and she survives.

He is also survived by his adoptive mother, Maria (Chris) Searcy of Largo, Florida, children, Ava Rose Hitt of Newark, Destiny Marie Taylor of Chillicothe, Dawson James Oiler of Chillicothe, one grandchild, Matthew Cruze Pauley, one sister, Abbigail Winters of Keystone, Florida, mother-in-law, Jenny Lanman, father-in-law, Rudy (Amy Baker) Lanman. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, James (Sally) Benard Hitt.

Beau was a graduate of Newark High School. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. He enjoyed four wheeling and trail riding, the Boston Red Sox, and The Ohio State University football. Beau was always the life of the party and had no problem making people laugh.

In keeping with Beau’s wishes he will be cremated. No funeral services will be held. The EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort, is serving Beau’s family. Those who wish to share a memory of Beau may do so by signing his online register book.
