Jack P. Layman

Jack P. Layman, 75, of New Holland, passed away Thursday morning, September 3, 2026, at the Adena Regional Medical Center, Chillicothe. He was born on Thursday, February 22, 1951, in Hillsboro, a son of the late Gail and Mary Ellen Dyer Layman. Jack was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Ellen Hill.

Jack is survived by three daughters; Amy Allison and Kimberly (Brandon) Persinger all of Chillicothe, Laura (Eric) Crawford of Little River, SC, one son; Jacob (Emily) Moore of Washington C.H., fourteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, one sister; Sally Free of Frankfort and a special friend, caregiver and the love of his life; Peg Moore of New Holland. Jack was blessed with many dear friends and all those who gathered with the "Breakfast Club " in New Holland.

He was a 1969 graduate of Adena High School. Jack was a retired boilermaker with Local 105.

Following his wishes, cremation will take place and no public services will be held.
