Idamae Addy

Idamae (Swank) Addy 93 formerly of Camelin Hill went to be with the Lord 9:09 am Wednesday, October 18, 2023 from Embassy of Valley View, Frankfort. She was born Wednesday, March 12, 1930 in Grove City, to the late Roy and Lena (Boyer) Swank. She was the ninth of ten children.

On August 2, 1947 she married Martin Emil Addy, who passed from this life March 23, 1999. Together they raised 5 sons.

Idamae is survived by 3 of those sons; Martin (Jeanie) Addy of Grove City, William of Chillicothe, Frank ( Lisa ) of Chillicothe; 6 grandchildren, Tony (Jennifer) Addy, Rhonda ( Michael) Malick, Tom (Amanda), John, Johnita (Troy) Dyke, and Kelly Addy; 15 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren; special daughters-in-law M. Jeanie Addy and Dianne Addy; and several nieces, nephew, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband Idamae was preceded in death by sons John and Edward Addy; granddaughter Kimberly; and all of her siblings.

Idamae was Grandma to so many, a friend to a lot more and loved by all.  She was a very special light in this world to all who knew her.

A viewing will be from 11am – 1 pm Saturday, October 21, 2023 at the SMITH-MOORE-EBRIGHT Funeral Home of Bainbridge. A private funeral will be held at the Methodist Church in Nipgen, where she was a member for 75 years. Burial will take place in Pennisten Cemetery.
