Howard Seth Shoemaker

Howard Seth Shoemaker, 61, of Greenfield, passed away unexpectedly at the Adena Greenfield Hospital on Sunday, August 23, 2026. He was born on Friday, July 16, 1965, in Chillicothe, a son of the late Howard and Margie Lowery Shoemaker.

Seth is survived by his wife, the former Madonna E. Beatty. Also surviving are two children; Betina (Alan Woods) Beatty of Greenfield and Wesley (Jodi) Cole of Beavercreek, Ohio, six grandchildren; Kari Mathews, Tyler (Miquela) Mathews, Levi (Cassidy) Mathews, Kyle Mathews, Eli Cole and Isaac Cole, three great- grandchildren; Clayton McCullah, Case Mathews and Kyson Merz, one sister; Debbie Miller of Frankfort, two brothers; Dan Shoemaker of Waverly and Don Shoemaker. Seth was preceded in death by one sister; Donna Seymour and one brother; Carl Shoemaker.

Seth proudly served in the United States Navy for ten years. He was a truck driver for MJM Express of Greenfield. Seth loved card shoots. His family enjoyed his skills at cooking many delicious meals. When he wasn't taking part in these pastimes, he loved to take rides on his Harley. Seth was a good man and he will be missed by all that knew him.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, August 31, 2026, at the Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort. Military honors will be accorded by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard and the United States Navy. In accordance to his wishes, no calling hours will be held. The Ebright Funeral home, Frankfort is in charge of the services.
