Harold L. "Bus" Harmount

Harold L. "Bus" Harmount, Jr., 87, of Greenfield, died on Sunday, September 18, 2011 at the Hearth & Care Nursing Home, Greenfield. He was born on October 23, 1923 in Chillicothe, OH, the son of the late Harold L., Sr. and Mildred Anderson Harmount. On April 11, 1958 he married Ruth "Tutti" Hill and their special love story lasted for 53 years.

In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by one niece; Dianne (Danny) Long of Kettering, one nephew; Jay (Jamie) Harmount of Greenfield, three great nieces; Quincey Gray, Jenna Beck, Brittany Long and one great-great niece; Sylvia Gray.He was preceded in death by one brother, Jay R. Harmount

Bus was a graduate of McClain High School and was a member of the 1938 undefeated football team. He was a farmer for many years and was a lifetime member of the Farm Bureau. He was a member of the Pisgah-Mt. Pleasant Federated Church, was a fifty year member of the Greenfield Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons and was a Royal Arch Mason.

Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday Sept. 24, 2011 at the ANDERSON-EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Greenfield with Rev. Walter Vonderohe officiating. Burial will follow in Brown's Chapel Cemetery, Clarksburg. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 11 a.m. to the time of the service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to the Fayette County Hospice, PO Box 849, Washington C.H., OH 43160.
