Harold L Baker

Harold L. Baker 87 of Bainbridge died 12:05 am Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus.  He was born July 17, 1933 in Franklin County the son of the late Walter Douglas and Marguerite (Korbel) Baker.  He was preceded in death by his wife, of 59 years, Betty J. (Brady) and 7 siblings.

Surviving are two children Scott (Teri Williamson) Baker and Jodi (Dale) Jones; grandkids, Taylor and Austin Baker and Sydney and Bowie Jones; sister-in-law Linda Baker and several nieces, nephews and friends.

Harold was a graduate of Westerville High School and an Army Veteran. After Harold moved to Bainbridge, he was very involved in the community: running the clock for PV Football for 25 years, coaching PV Track, being a past member of the Bainbridge Volunteer Fire Department for more than 25 years and a member of the Bainbridge Lodge 196 F&AM for almost 50 years. Harold was also a mail carrier for 25 years, retiring in 1995.

Graveside services will be 11 am Saturday, January 23, 2021 in the Bainbridge Cemetery with Pastor Kathleen Kisner officiating. Those attending the service will need to wear a face mask and observe social distancing. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Paint Valley Boys and Girls Track 7454 US Rt. 50 East Bainbridge OH 45612.
