Gerald Ray Benner

Gerald Ray Benner, 72, of Circleville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Gary was a man of deep faith who loved God, his family, music, and meaningful conversation. He had a sharp mind, a quick wit, and a unique way of seeing the world that left a lasting impression on those who knew him. He will also be remembered for the small, familiar things—like his love of movies and the quiet, meaningful moments he shared with those closest to him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ora (Brady) Benner and Lorraine (East) Benner Huffman Dean; and his brothers, Steven J. Benner and Donald F. Benner. He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, William and Becky Benner; his sisters-in-law, Cheryl Benner and Sue Benner; along with his nieces, nephews, extended family, and loved ones who will miss him dearly.

Funeral arrangements will be held on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at Smith-Moore-Ebright Funeral Home in Bainbridge, Ohio. Visitation will take place from 2:00 to 3:30 PM, with his eulogy being read at 3:15 PM. A graveside service will follow at Bainbridge Cemetery.
