Gecova Florene Trent

Gecova Florene Dreher Trent 86 of Fairview passed from this life 7:39 am Friday, November 28, 2025, at her home surrounded by family. She was born Sunday, March 5, 1939, in Carter County, KY to the late Charles and Judia McGlone. On Friday, December 20, 1996, Florene married Felix “Pete” Trent, who died September 28, 2020.

She is survived by three children Charles Dreher, Neoma Gregory and Gene Allen Dreher; 10 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren; along with several nieces, nephews and friends including her lifelong friend Judy Wise. The family would also like to extend a special thanks to Tina Tong for everything she did to help care for Florene.

In addition to her parents and husband Florene was preceded in death by the father of her children George Dreher; son Mike Dreher and wife Jane; daughter-in-law Carol Dreher; great grandson Jayden Gregory; sisters Darlene Evans, Geneva Whitley and brother Harold Gene McGlone.

Florene was a member of the Beech Flats Church, and she was a very compassionate person lending a hand to anyone who needed it. She also enjoyed gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 1 pm Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at the SMITH-MOORE-EBRIGHT Funeral Home, Bainbridge with Pastor Greg Trent officiating. Burial will follow in the Cynthiana Cemetery. Friends may call from 11am – 1 pm Wednesday at the Funeral Home.
