Gayla Louise Miller 74 of Waverly formerly of Black Run passed from this life Sunday Morning December 4, 2022 at Adena Pike Hospital. She was born November 30, 1948 in Ross County the daughter of the late Harold L. and Virginia Louise (Kellough) Wipert. Gayla was also preceded in death by her husbands, Edward Denniwitz and Ronald “Pete” Miller and a sister Retha.

Gayla is survived by her sons Duane Wipert and Ryan Thompson; grandchildren Noah, Colton and Elizabeth; sisters Kaye (Joe) Diehl and Beverly Gibson; brothers Maurice (Melanie) Wipert, Dennis (Deborah) Wipert and Bruce (Peggy) Wipert; and several nieces, nephews and friends.

Gayla was a 1967 graduate of Paint Valley High School and retired from Johnson Controls. She was an avid reader and loved antiques along with art glass.

Funeral services will be held 1 pm Friday, December 9, 2022 at the Smith-Moore-Ebright Funeral Home, Bainbridge with Rev. David Marhoover officiating. Following the service Gayla will be laid to rest beside her husband Pete in the Twin Township Cemetery. Friends may visit with Gayla's family from 11am until the time-of-service Friday at the Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
