Gary J. Plueckhahn

Gary J. Plueckhahn, 68, of Chillicothe, went to be with our Lord at 10:55 am on Sunday, March 4, 2018 at Adena Regional Medical Center, Chillicothe. He was born on February 15, 1950 in Buffalo NY, the son of the late Jack and Mariam Hall Plueckhahn. His wife of 33 years, the former Jennifer S. "Sue" Downing, survives.

Also surviving are two children, Gary J. Plueckhahn Jr. of Pennsylvania, Shannon Plueckhahn Dickey of New York, five step-children, Martin L. Downing, Alva R. Boyer Jr., Barry S. Boyer, Dawn Boyer and Faith Boyer, all of Ohio, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, siblings, Linda Urbach, Diane Mundion, Robert Plueckhahn, Terry Barcus, Paul Plueckhahn, Cathy Warren, Brian Plueckhahn, and Carol Plueckhahn.

Gary was a veteran of the United States Army, having served as a helicopter gunner during the Vietnam War, alongside his fellow gunner, Mac McKenry. He retired from truck driving for Active USA after 37 years. He was a great husband and father.

In keeping with Gary's wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family, and Gary's cremains will be buried with family in New York.
