Gary Cottrill

Gary Cottrill 79 of Bainbridge passed from this life on Friday, July 31, 2026, at the Adena Regional Medical Center, Chillicothe. He was born April 7, 1947, in Lynden, Ohio and was raised by the late Oscar F. and Alice L. (Kerr) Beechler.

He is survived by his wife the former Linda L. Logan; three children Brian (Rose) Cottrill, Kenneth Howland and Matthew Hunter Cottrill (Kimberly Keller); step children Christopher (Jarrett) Logan and Stephanie (Kelly) Collingsworth; seven grandchildren Scott (Britni) Mills, Alexis Cottrill (fiancé Troy), Nathaniel Cottrill, Joshua Cottrill, Matthew Cottrill, Emma Brill and Sage Collingsworth; four great grandchildren Ace, Maverick, Caiden and Zackary; and many other family members and friends.

Gary was an Army Veteran and member of the American Legion Post 14 of Bainbridge. He worked many years for Crop Production, and he enjoyed tinkering with mowers and such. He was even known at the mower man. Gary also liked to play golf and cornhole.

Per his wishes, A graveside service will be held 1 pm Wednesday, August 5, 2026, in the Bainbridge Cemetery with Kelly Collingsworth officiating. Military honors will by the US Army and the Ross County Honor Guard.
