Gary Cottrill

Gary Cottrill 79 of Bainbridge passed from this life on Friday, July 31, 2026, at the Adena Regional Medical Center, Chillicothe. He was born April 7, 1947, in Lynden, Ohio and was raised by the late Oscar F. and Alice L. (Kerr) Beechler.

He is survived by his wife the former Linda L. Logan; three children Brian (Rose) Cottrill, Kenneth Howland and Matthew Hunter Cottrill (Kimberly Keller); step children Christopher (Jarrett) Logan and Stephanie (Kelly) Collingsworth; seven grandchildren Scott (Britni) Mills, Alexis Cottrill (fiancé Troy), Nathanial Cottrill, Joshua Cottrill, Matthew Cottrill, Emma Brill and Sage Collingsworth; four great grandchildren Ace, Maverick, Caiden and Zackary; and many other family members and friends.

Gary was an Army Veteran and proud member and eventual commander of the American Legion Post 14 of Bainbridge. He worked many years in the Crop Production industry, and he enjoyed tinkering with mowers and such. He was even known as the mower man. Gary was very passionate about cornhole, and won many games throughout his life. Gary also enjoyed to play golf. Gary will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Per his wishes, A graveside service will be held at 1 pm on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, in the Bainbridge Cemetery with Kelly Collingsworth officiating. Military honors will be by the US Army and the Ross County Honor Guard.
